01 / WHY IT MATTERS

Protect and Preserve Wealth for this and the next generation.

You have invested years in helping clients build and manage their wealth. A spouse or heir may one day make different decisions about who manages it.

Estate planning gives you a relevant reason to meet those family members earlier, understand their priorities, and demonstrate the value of your advice.

Help the family prepare for the transfer. Build the relationship while there is time to earn it.

Bloodline connects that opportunity to a practical service: guided intake, coordinated fulfillment and management.

Research context: Cerulli’s September 2025 research emphasizes early engagement with heirs and ongoing family conversations. This supports the relationship rationale; it is not evidence of Bloodline’s results. Read the research ↗

02 / THE VALUE TO YOUR FIRM

Monetize a value-added service. Retain AUM.

Help clients follow through

Turn an estate planning conversation into a defined intake and legal delivery process.

Know more of the household

With permission, bring spouses and future decision-makers into relevant financial conversations.

Identify financial follow-up

Use permitted information to discuss beneficiaries, ownership, liquidity, and other planning needs.

Support continuity of AUM

Build familiarity and trust with the people who may direct the family’s assets next.

These are opportunities the partnership can support. Retention and growth depend on client choices, advisor follow-through, and other factors.

03 / HOW IT WORKS

A clear division of responsibilities.

Your advisory team

Identify the need, introduce the client, and coordinate the financial planning conversations.

04 / A HOUSEHOLD EXAMPLE

An illustrative example

Consider a fictional household: a long-standing client, their spouse, and two adult children. You manage the client’s investments, but have had few conversations with the children.

1
A need becomes actionable.

The client raises an outdated estate plan. You introduce Bloodline’s process rather than leaving the next step undefined.

2
The legal engagement moves forward.

The client completes intake and works with Bloodline Law. You follow the milestones the client authorizes you to see.

3
A family conversation becomes relevant.

With the client’s permission, you offer a meeting about the family’s financial priorities and the advisor’s role.

Illustrative scenario, not a client case study. Introductions, completion, and future advisory relationships are not assured.

05 / FIT & LAUNCH

Embed estate planning capacity

  • Confirm the clients and legal scope.Establish the jurisdictions, estate profiles, and included services that fit the offering.
  • Agree on your commercial arrangement.Review available licensing, legal engagement, and billing terms before launch.
  • Prepare client communications.Scope co-branded materials, outreach copy, and any educational events you want to use.
  • Measure adoption and follow-through.Agree on useful measures such as engagement progress, advisor effort, and client feedback.

06 / COMMON QUESTIONS

FAQs

Do our advisors provide legal advice?

No. Advisors handle their financial advisory role. Bloodline Law handles legal advice, preparation, and review.

Do we need to hire attorneys?

No in-house legal department is required for the standard offering. Confirm service coverage and engagement terms for the households you intend to serve.

Which documents and services are included?

The current offering describes standard trust-based planning and ancillary documents. Exact documents, jurisdictions, signing assistance, funding support, revisions, and exceptions should be confirmed in the engagement scope.

What can the advisor see?

Visibility depends on client authorization, platform permissions, and confidentiality obligations. Privileged legal communications are not automatically accessible to the advisor.

What if we already use estate planning software?

Evaluate the fulfillment process alongside your existing tools: who manages intake, who does the legal work, how clients progress, and how much coordination your team performs. A walkthrough should establish whether the offering fills a real gap.

Does the partnership guarantee AUM retention?

No. Estate planning can create useful opportunities to engage a family. Retaining or growing assets depends on relationships, client decisions, and other factors.

07 / START THE CONVERSATION

Where could estate planning add the most value in your client book?
